NOTICE OF SPECIAL PUBLIC MEETING

September 30, 2025

The Keremeos Irrigation District encourages you to read the attached notice and attend the Special Public Meeting on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Victory Hall.  The KID needs your approval for the borrowing of funds to construct a new well to replace the water capacity lost from our 1st Ave. well (not in use) to meet existing demand. The new well will allow us to meet peak demand during the summer months and allow new connections on the system to proceed.
The Village of Keremeos applied for 50% funding through the Canada Housing & Infrastructure Grant Program earlier this summer.  If they are successful, and agree to apply grant funds to this project,  the KID would then endeavour to reduce overall costs to our ratepayers for this project. Our office is open Tuesdays and Fridays 9:30 to 3:30 and we welcome ratepayers who have any questions. Hope to see you at the meeting. KID Board & Staff
