Welcome to the Keremeos Irrigation District Board Meetings page.  Board meetings which are open to the public are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.  Our Annual General Meeting is held on the last Wednesday of April each year. The District's Annual General Meeting was held at the Victory Hall on Wednesday, May 18th, 2022. The AGM Notice was advertised for two weeks in the Keremeos Review.  Unfortunately, no ratepayers attended other than the Board of Trustees, Superintendent Jo Cottrill, Consulting Manager Kevin Huey and Financial Administrator Cheryl Halla.  The Report on Operations 2021 was presented by Jo Cottrill, the Audited Financial Statements for the year ending December 31, 2021 were presented by Cheryl Halla, and Board Chair Roger Mayer, read a recently published news article explaining the history of our aging system, and the need to add an 'Infrastructure Renewal Fee' of $95 to the 2022 taxes and tolls, for every parcel of land on the District's Assessment Roll.  The public is welcome to contact the District Office on any Tuesday or Friday, from 9:30 AM until 3:30 PM if they would like additional information on our upcoming electrical upgrade project at our East Pumping Station, which will take place later this year.  The funds collected from the Infrastructure Renwal Fee will be held separate from general operating funds, and will be utilized on major system upgrades to replace aging infrastructure.
