The District's Annual General Meeting was held at the Victory Hall on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024. The AGM Notice was advertised for two weeks in the Keremeos Review. The 2024 Annual General Meeting had several ratepayers attending as well as the Board of Trustees, Superintendent Jo Cottrill, Consulting Manager Kevin Huey and Financial Administrator Cheryl Halla. The Report on Operations 2023 was presented by Jo Cottrill; the 2023 Annual Water Report will be mailed out to all ratepayers with the annual billing, and is available at the KID Office as well as on our website below. The Audited Financial Statements for the year ending December 31, 2023 were presented by Cheryl Halla, and Board Chair Roger Mayer, explained the history of our aging system, and the need to continue charging an 'Infrastructure Renewal Fee' of $95 to the 2024 taxes and tolls, for every parcel of land on the District's Assessment Roll. The public is welcome to contact the District Office on any Tuesday or Friday, from 9:30 AM until 3:30 PM if they would like additional information on our planned capital projects or financial statement. The funds collected from the Infrastructure Renwal Fee will be held separate from general operating funds, and will be utilized on major system upgrades to replace aging infrastructure.
